teaching natural and better farming methods to encourage environmental stewardship
Barnabas & Partners strongly believes in the power of sustainable agricultural practices and responsible environmentalism to free individuals and communities from poverty and open doors to new opportunities in free trade and education.
Barnabas & Partners has conducted week long training seminars in China led by agricultural experts from the Philippines based SEED project. These seminars teach those in rural China how to sustainably produce organic foods in an environmentally friendly manner. Participants are trained in sustainable organic farming, land preparation, organic pesticides and fertilizers, livestock care, and lot planning.
A new area of training is in completely self sustaining aquaponics systems. Aquaponic systems serve as micro enterprises, giving organic fruit, vegetables, and fish to families and entire communities for nutrition and economic independence.
